The basic idea of the class is that some students in the class are undertaking an (officially recognized) independent study project on a similar theme. This means that, through McGill University, some of us are getting credit that will go on our transcripts. Throughout the term, we will come together regularly in order to share knowledge and discuss our research. This collective aspect of the class is not officially recognized by the university, but for us it is a key part of the project.
The class is being held twice a week on the McGill campus in Montreal, starting in January of 2009 and running until April. This class is an “open” class, to which anyone who is interested is warmly invited to join us for our discussion — you by no means have to be a student to join us! We meet at 3619 rue Université appt. #1 on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:30 to 5:30. This is a basement apartment which is being used by a friend of some people in the class. The entrance is under the stairs leading up to apartments #2, 3 and 4. To those familiar witht the McGill campus, this adress is located just across University Street from the Trottier Building. Feel free to come to any class!
just a reminder – update this page with actual meeting times?
Will do. Thanks so much Nat!
